The project

In Lyon, a Redcinha Bardline lattice fence with symmetrical vertical slats divides the garden into three zones, combining privacy, design, and durability.

Project Context

Completed in 2026 in Lyon for a landscaper, the project aims to structure a residential garden while ensuring controlled privacy without heavy perspectives. The landscaping approach combines a mineral palette (light gravel) with clusters of conifers and Mediterranean plants. Three differentiated fence sequences were chosen to accompany the land uses while ensuring visual continuity.

Implemented Solution

The choice was made for the Bardline Redcinha® fence made of co-extruded wood composite with a lattice effect, known for its bi-faced slats offering an identical rendering on both sides. The installation respects the imposed direction of vertical slats, supported by aluminum posts. The Bardline slats have a section of 187.2 x 19.5 mm, a length of 1295 mm (1600 mm available on order), and a brushed finish. The controlled expansion (2 mm/m) and anti-UV treatment ensure dimensional stability and color retention. The solution is backed by a 10-year warranty.

  • Symmetrical lattice: identical rendering on both sides, suitable for a boundary limit.
  • Redcinha® aluminum posts 80x80 mm and dedicated accessories: mandatory post/slat connection profile, caps, angle profiles, and finishing profiles ensuring rigidity and sharp edges cleanliness.
  • Weather resistance: rot-proof composite, low maintenance, controlled behavior against UV and moisture.

Two color schemes structure the whole: a dark shade (anthracite/black) for the lines at the back of the plot, and a warm light oak tone with black grooves for the convivial area. This alternation enhances the reading of the spaces without breaking the homogeneity of the Bardline vertical framework.

Execution and Result

The installation was carried out with precision measuring, with systematic checks of post spacings and plumb lines. The connection profiles were installed before inserting the slats, maintaining the allowances linked to the expansion 2 mm/m. The assembly was done bay by bay to ensure uniform pressure and continuous alignment of the grooves. The top and bottom finishing profiles as well as the caps neatly closed each module and protected the ends.

Three configurations follow according to the garden zones:

  • A line of dark composite slats with lattice accompanies a strip of light gravel planted with small conifers, lavenders, and graphic subjects. The contrast between light stone and dark surface enhances the reading of the verticals.
  • A sequence in warm tone with black groove creates a more convivial atmosphere, rhythmically accented by shrubs aligned on a mineral bed.
  • A portion combining black aluminum posts and Bardline slats frames a border of Mediterranean plants and dense turf.

The result presents a clear aesthetic continuity: regular patterns, perfectly aligned sommets, and precise finishes at the ends. The color variations remain consistent thanks to the same slat profile and identical posts, ensuring a homogeneous reading of the fence. The combination of mineral and plant elements highlights the interior facade of the garden while ensuring the required privacy in an urban setting. The whole illustrates a rigorous implementation of the Bardline Redcinha®, both technically and landscape-wise.
