Redcinha Bardline fencing with a clear view effect in anthracite and wood tones, precise installation and clean finishes for a demanding residential garden.
Context and Objectives Completed in 2026 for a landscape designer, this Lyon project aims to combine privacy, durability, and landscape coherence in a residential garden. The guiding principle focuses on an elegant and controlled appearance, with a regular vertical grid and contrasting shades. The layout follows the land's contours and promotes a continuous reading of the modules, without visual breaks.
Redcinha® Bardline Technical Solution The choice was made for the Bardline Redcinha® fencing, the first composite fencing with a clear view effect. Its construction in next-generation co-extruded composite wood and its bi-facial slats ensure identical rendering on both sides, a major advantage for separating boundaries in residential settings. The vertical slats (dimensions 187.2 x 19.5 mm, lengths 1295 mm and 1600 mm on order) feature a brushed finish and a controlled thermal expansion of 2 mm/m. The assembly works on compatible 80x80 mm aluminum posts, with matching accessories for terminations and corners. The system is treated against UV, weather-resistant, and benefits from a 10-year warranty, providing a reliable technical solution to exposure constraints.
Implementation and Landscape Integration The construction features three configurations to vary the linear layout according to the intended use and desired aesthetics: Dark-colored sections such as anthracite gray, tightly spaced vertical slats, aligned with a mineral bed of light gravel welcoming graphic perennials and low shrubs. The light/dark contrast enhances the reading of the verticals and emphasizes the purity of lines. A sequence in warm wood tone with black grooves, offering a warmer and more natural ambiance. The alignment of conical shrubs showcases the regularity of the modules and the symmetry of the fencing. Variation with black aluminum posts and Bardline slats accompanying a border of Mediterranean plants and dense grass, for a contemporary and soothing appearance.
The careful attention to installation is evident in the constant alignments, the plumb of the posts, and the management of thermal expansion gaps. The slats are oriented exclusively vertically in accordance with Redcinha® specifications, with clean finishes at the ends and at the base. The landscape integration enhances the clear view effect while ensuring adequate screening for residential use.
