Anthracite composite screening installed straight on a rigid fence in Quimper, providing 95% privacy and aluminum finishes for a neat and durable result
Project Context
Located in Quimper, Finistère, this private residence had a rigid fence that required increased privacy without compromising the architectural line. The goal was to achieve high screening, a color coordinated with the exterior joinery, and a sustainable solution for a residential garden. The existing configuration included rigid panels with metal posts and a skirting board, providing a stable base for the installation of screening panels.
Implemented Solution
The decision was made to use the Ultimate Screening Kit® – Straight Installation from Redcinha®, compatible with Delclo® panels featuring a 10 cm reinforcing fold (the 20 cm folds are not compatible). The shade dark gray EC 102 is paired with RAL 7016 aluminum profiles, ensuring visual continuity with the existing rigid fence.
Main technical characteristics of the selected kit:
- Installation in less than 5 minutes per panel thanks to the pre-mounted inserts (installation requires no specific tools)
- 95% screening for effective visual control
- Solid slats with a brushed finish, mass-dyed, 4 mm thickness
- Available slat widths: 43 + 30 mm and 49 + 40 mm
- Aluminum finishing profiles for rigidity and durability
- UV-resistant material, resistant to frost and hail, non-rotting
- 10-year warranty
- Simplified maintenance: high-pressure cleaner at 1 m minimum
An anti-theft kit is available as an option to secure the slats if necessary. The whole system meets the installers' requirements: quick intervention, consistent spacing, and controlled finishes.
Execution and Result
After verifying the compatibility of the panels (10 cm reinforcing fold), the teams proceeded with the straight installation: the vertical slats insert and lock in place using pre-mounted clips, ensuring a consistent alignment along the entire length. The aluminum finishing profiles at the top and bottom unify the whole and enhance the support. The anthracite color ensures visual coherence with the posts and rails of the rigid fence.
On site, the linearity is highlighted by homogenous vertical grids and consistent spacing between slats, visible across the entire fence facade. The existing skirting board protects the slats from splashes at the foot of the fence, while neatly delineating the lawn from the garden. The assembly presents clean edges, neat transitions at the posts' locations, and a regular plane of the panels.
The final result provides high privacy for residential use, with a sleek and contemporary aesthetic. The brushed finish of the slats reduces glare, while the aluminum profiles ensure durable mechanical performance. Maintenance remains limited to periodic water washes as recommended, without requiring surface treatment. This intervention thus combines rapid and controlled implementation with a high level of screening, perfectly suited to the garden environment of the residence near Quimper.
