2The project
At a private residence in Rouen, the Redcinha® Claustral composite fence combines horizontal slats with a wood appearance and an openwork top panel. View project photos and details.
Project context
Installed along the boundary of a private residence in Rouen, the fence follows the road frontage, with a neatly finished corner at the entrance. The design combines a warm wood tone for the slats with an anthracite grey aluminium structure that fits into the urban landscape. An openwork panel at the top adds a regular graphic pattern and meets the local DPU requirements while preserving the main privacy screen.
Solution implemented
The selected solution was the Redcinha® Claustral composite fence distributed by Paysapro, combining co-extruded wood-plastic composite slats with aluminium posts.
-
Brushed wood-effect slats with a uniform colour and visible texture
-
UV protection treatment and weather resistance suited to the Normandy climate
-
Low expansion of 2 mm/m
-
Slat dimensions of 166 x 20 x 1795 mm, with a useful height of 158 mm for rational layout
-
Redcinha® aluminium posts with an 80 x 80 mm section, providing stability and straightness
-
Upper openwork panel to lighten the appearance and meet the open-area requirement
-
Finishing accessories and reinforcing profiles integrated every 3 to 4 slats, depending on height
-
Maintenance with a pressure washer, keeping a minimum distance of 1 m
Technical reasons for the choice: compliance with openwork requirements, material durability in an exposed environment, and dimensional consistency that facilitates installation along a long roadside boundary.
Installation and result
The centre lines and the squareness of the corner were checked before the posts were set out. Centre-to-centre spacing was kept consistent, and vertical alignment was checked at each element. A light-coloured gravel bed was laid at the foot of the panels to aid drainage and keep the pavement edge clean. Finishing profiles protect the edges and define the lower line.
The layout aligns the wood grain from one module to the next and coordinates the geometric openwork pattern visible along the full length. Expansion gaps are maintained in accordance with the recommendations for the Claustral range, ensuring flatness over time. The result is a continuous, stable screening fence with a clear horizontal line and a carefully integrated appearance in the urban setting.
