1The project
In Écully, vertical installation of brown composite slats on a black rigid fence provides 95% privacy and durable aluminum finishes.
Project Background
Located in Écully, Rhône, this private residence sought enhanced privacy without disrupting the harmony of the garden. The project involved installing a black rigid fence complemented by straight-installed brown composite slats. The already well-maintained landscape was enhanced with a planter bordering the fence to connect the structure to the lawn and existing plantings.
Implemented Solution
The choice was made for the Ultimate Privacy Kit® - Straight Installation Redcinha®. This system includes solid slats colored throughout with pre-mounted inserts and aluminum finishing profiles for an advertised 95% privacy level and minimal maintenance. The kit is compatible with panels with a 10 cm reinforcement fold as per the manufacturer's recommendations (20 cm folds are not compatible).
This choice addressed two main criteria:
-
aesthetic coherence: the warm brown of the slats contrasts with the black structure for a subtle appearance in a residential context;
-
speed and consistency of installation: pre-mounted inserts guarantee a straight installation without specific tools for privacy, limiting on-site intervention time.
The provided aluminum profiles ensure a continuous and durable finish at the top and bottom of the panels.
Execution and Result
The black rigid fence was implemented linearly on a visible base running the length of the property. The black posts and fencing structure the whole. The privacy was achieved by inserting the vertical composite slats into the meshes, with the pre-mounted clips guiding each component to ensure alignment. The aluminum finishing profiles were installed to lock the slats in place and ensure a clean upper line.
Technical detail: the slats were installed on panels compatible with 10 cm folds, in accordance with the requirements of the Straight Installation kit. This compatibility constraint influenced the selection of the rigid panels and allowed for a consistent hold of the slats across the entire height. The brushed effect texture of the slats was oriented homogeneously for a continuous visual rendering.
The final result meets the initial objective: dense privacy that preserves the residence's intimacy while maintaining a sober architectural reading. The brown/black contrast highlights the fence line and matches the garden; the flowering planter, mineral border, and lawn reinforce the landscape integration. The composite and aluminum components provide durability suited to residential use, with minimal maintenance. The entire project features consistent alignment and a uniform finish quality along its length.
