1The project
In Écully, straight installation of brown composite slats on a black rigid fence for 95% privacy and durable aluminum finishes.
Project Context
Located in Écully, Rhône, this private residence sought increased privacy without compromising the harmony of the garden. The project involved installing a black rigid fence complemented by straight brown composite privacy slats. The already well-maintained landscaped environment was enhanced by a planting bed bordering the fence to integrate the structure with the lawn and existing plants.
Implemented Solution
The choice was made to use the Ultimate Privacy Kit® - Straight Installation Redcinha®. This system brings together full slats dyed in mass with pre-mounted inserts and aluminum finishing profiles, ensuring a claimed 95% privacy and minimal maintenance. The kit is compatible with panels featuring a 10 cm reinforcement fold according to the manufacturer's recommendations (20 cm folds are not compatible).
This choice was driven by two main criteria:
-
aesthetic consistency: warm brown of the slats contrasting with the black structure for a sober look in a residential setting;
-
speed and regularity of installation: the pre-mounted inserts guarantee a straight installation without specific tools for privacy, reducing the site intervention time.
The provided aluminum profiles ensure a continuous and durable finish at the top and bottom of the panels.
Implementation and Outcome
The black rigid fence was installed linearly along a visible base throughout the length of the property. The black posts and grids structure the whole. The privacy was achieved by engaging the vertical composite slats into the mesh, with pre-mounted clips guiding each element to ensure alignment. The aluminum finishing profiles were installed to lock the slats and ensure a clean upper line.
Technical detail: the slats were installed on panels compatible with 10 cm folds, in accordance with the Straight Installation kit requirements. This compatibility constraint dictated the selection of the rigid panels and allowed for consistent performance of the slats across the entire height. The brushed effect texture of the slats was uniformly oriented for a continuous visual rendering.
The final result meets the initial objective: a dense privacy that preserves the residence's intimacy while maintaining a sober architectural reading. The brown/black contrast highlights the fence line and harmonizes with the garden; the flowering bed, mineral border, and lawn enhance the landscape integration. The composite and aluminum components provide durability suitable for residential uses, with minimal maintenance. The entire installation features consistent alignment and uniform finish quality along its length.
