The project

Redcinha Bardline lattice fence, black aluminum finishes, integrated into a Lyon garden with mineral and vegetated borders.

Project Context

Completed in 2026 in Lyon for a landscaper, this project responds to the needs of an urban residence seeking to structure the garden boundaries, preserve privacy, and enhance the landscape's reading. The space is designed in three sequences to interact with distinct plant environments. The first area adopts black boards arranged in lattice effect, accompanying a line of small conifers on a light gravel bed. A second sequence introduces a warm-toned cladding with visible black grooves, adding a wooden and convivial touch. Finally, a third layer combines black aluminum poles and boards to frame a bed of Mediterranean plants bordered by a well-maintained lawn. The photographs show well-maintained mineral borders, a regular layout, and a continuous vertical framework that unifies the project.

Solution Implemented

The choice was made for the Bardline fence by Redcinha®, a system in co-extruded wood-polymer composite with symmetrical vertical boards. This product, distributed by Paysapro, offers the same appearance on both sides and a fine rhythm characteristic of the lattice aesthetic.

Key characteristics selected for the specification:

  • Vertical boards only, section 187.2 x 19.5 mm, brushed effect finish for a natural texture and a homogeneous reading of the facets.
  • Low controlled thermal expansion (2 mm/m) and anti-UV treatment, suitable for urban garden exposures.
  • Aluminum poles and accessories ensuring rigidity, alignment accuracy, and durability outdoors.
  • Board lengths of 1295 mm (with a possibility of 1600 mm on order for certain configurations) and 10-year warranty, a guarantee of longevity for professional use.

Two finishes were combined according to the environments: an anthracite/black register to highlight the graphical vegetation and a warm wood tone with black grooves to soften the view and provide visual warmth. This mixing allows for differentiation of the areas while maintaining a common modulation thanks to the aluminum poles and framing profiles.

Implementation and Result

The installation was conducted with a requirement for flatness and verticality. The deployment began with marking the axis of the aluminum poles, controlling the spacing, and aligning the tops to achieve a continuous crown line. The pole-board connection profiles and finishing profiles were implemented according to the manufacturer's specifications, managing the expansion gaps. The assembly in successive modules allowed for regular advancement while maintaining the tight framework characteristic of Bardline.

On site, the contrast between the anthracite panels and the mineral compositions in light gravel enhances the readability of the plantings. The wood-toned sections, marked with vertical grooves, introduce a warmer atmosphere without disrupting the overall rhythm. The pole caps and bases hidden by the borders ensure a clean reading of the base. The overall presentation features linear alignments, clean cuts at the ends, and controlled visual continuity along the garden's length.

The result combines measured screening, elegant vertical rhythm, and low maintenance related to the co-extruded composite. The Redcinha® Bardline fence integrates into the landscaping by enhancing both mineral sequences and planted beds, providing a durable, stable, and homogeneous perimeter aesthetically and technically.
