Composite Base on Rigid Fencing Lille

Summary

In a residential area of Lille, a rigid fence was reinforced at the base with a Redcinha® COMPOPLAK composite base. The objective was to close the bottom, protect the underside of the panels, and ensure a regular line. The lightweight nature of the composite facilitated handling and installation. The contrast between black panels and light gray base provides a clear boundary delineation.

Context

Residential site with a grassed garden and rigid fencing. The visible panel features typical reinforcing folds of black welded fencing, consistent with residential use.

The choice of the composite base was made for its weight, making installation easier for the landscaper.

Objective

• Installation of the base by a single person.

• Protect the bottom of the wires during mechanical maintenance (Rotofile) of the lawn.

• Achieve a continuous and easy-to-maintain base line.

• Ensure alignment of the sections on an existing footing.

Solution

Installation of the light gray Redcinha® COMPOPLAK composite base under the rigid panels. The choice of composite is explained by its manageability and resistance to impacts, useful in areas of passage and maintenance.

Technical points from the product sheet:

• 5× lighter than a concrete base: simplified handling and faster installation.

• Double-sided brushed finish, light gray, for sober integration into the garden.

• Resistance to common wear at the fence base: rotofil and impacts.

• Reinforcement tube provided for the rigidity of the slat.

• Nominal height 228 mm and possible cleaning with a pressure washer (minimum distance 1 m).

• 10-year warranty and materials designed to withstand UV, frost, and hail.

• Designed to be compatible with Delclo® DC-Clips posts (L 2505 mm) or DC70 with notches (L 2530 mm).

Implementation & Result

The base slats were positioned in alignment with the sections, with level checks for each panel. The junction between the composite base and the black rigid fencing is clean, with no gaps, and the brushed texture is uniform along its length.

The installation of COMPLAK bases can be complemented later by the addition of composite wood privacy kits in the same color.
