Composite Louvered Facade in Reims

Project Context

In 2025, a private residence in Reims received a louvered wall covering in composite wood to modernize the architecture and enhance the durability of the envelope. The vertical slats in a light wood tone enhance the facade and interact with the black frames of the openings for a contemporary and clean appearance.

Chosen Solution

The choice fell on Myriad® cladding from Redcinha® for its louvered design and weather resistance. The co-extruded composite material, with a brushed finish, exhibits controlled expansion of 2 mm/m and simple maintenance. The possibility of careful treatment around the windows was decisive for this facade with marked openings.

Implementation and Result

The vertical installation was carried out with precise alignment and regular spacing, visible across the entire facade section. The edges under the roof overhang and the reveals were treated with clean black finishes, consistent with the joinery. The installation respected the required expansion gaps (2 mm/m) and available slat lengths. The result showcases the louvered effect without visual interruption around the openings. In addition to aesthetics, the cladding provides appreciated thermal and acoustic insulation, as well as reinforced resistance to UV and climatic variations.
