# Choosing a Composite Sample for Cladding, Decking or Fencing

Professional method for using a composite sample: shade, texture, width, light, and limitations before prescription or reference.
A sample helps examine a material and finish, but it does not demonstrate either the system's performance or its appearance on a large surface. To be useful for a prescription or reference, it must be observed with a specific question in mind. **Source of expertise:** Paysapro sample service and Myriad®, Reverse 100, Reverse 200, Claustral, and Bardline data sheets. **Update:** September 2, 2026. ## Choosing the Sample Based on Decision For Myriad® cladding, observe the profile, shade, and the louver effect described by the range. For Reverse 100 and Reverse 200 decking, compare the documented widths and faces. For Claustral and Bardline, the material sample cannot replace the understanding of installation direction and system appearance. ## Organizing Reproducible Observation - Examine the sample in natural light and at the presentation site; - Note the reference and observed face; - Position it close to the neighboring materials that are actually planned; - Keep a photo with a scale indication; - Avoid concluding a complete set from an isolated piece. ## For a Specifier Attach the examined reference to the file and indicate what was visually validated. Tolerances, reactions to the substrate, long-term behavior, and installation conditions remain the responsibility of the relevant documents and validations. ## For a Distributor Link each sample to its data sheet and family. A clear presentation prevents different systems from being confused solely because their shades appear similar. The conditions for obtaining and the composition of the sample kit should be confirmed with Paysapro.
